Decorating the Thanksgiving Table

Preparing for a Thanksgiving gathering with friends or family is a big deal. Cooking a meal, cleaning your home, choosing entertainment and making everyone feel comfortable will stress you out. However, there is one thing you should not be stressing about—your décor. Luckily, unlike Christmas or Halloween, there is no need for complicated decorating schemes. All you need is an attractive and inviting Thanksgiving centerpiece. If you are a bit unsure where to begin, here are a few ideas that may spark your creativity.

A Full Centerpiece – If you are really strapped for time and don’t want to deal with anything yourself, you could purchase a premade Thanksgiving centerpiece. This particular centerpiece, available at Phoenix Flower Shop, includes two candlesticks—making it perfect for many table settings.

Cornucopia – One of the traditional Thanksgiving symbols is the cornucopia. This is an excellent piece of table décor since it puts the focus on the spirit of the holiday while still offering a beautiful display. Cornucopias are normally filled with fruits, vegetables (real or fake), but you can accent them with flowers, leaves and other elements too.

Flowers – Putting together a floral centerpiece can be a great idea. There are plenty of flowers that come in autumn colors—making them an excellent choice. Sunflowers, chrysanthemums, daisies and other flowers all make excellent additions to your floral centerpiece.

Fun Décor – Décor for Thanksgiving doesn’t always have to be formal or traditional. A turkey, pumpkin or harvest-related centerpiece can be a lot of fun—especially if your guests will include children as well as adults. This Country Pumpkin  is one beautiful example of a fun centerpiece.
